About Dr. Logan Clarahan
My Chiropractic Journey
My introduction to chiropractic started like it does for many—through pain. In my family, chiropractic care was something you turned to only when discomfort appeared. We focused on symptoms, not the underlying cause. Like many, we leaned on allopathic approaches, treating problems after they happened rather than preventing them or supporting overall wellness.
That mindset shifted when I arrived at Palmer College of Chiropractic. As I studied anatomy, physiology, neurology, and chiropractic philosophy, I realized the nervous system—and the spine—affect far more than pain. They influence hormonal balance, stress response, and the body’s ability to adapt and heal. Becoming “Dr. Logan” meant more than easing discomfort—it meant addressing the body as an interconnected system and helping people restore balance for long-term health.
Early in my practice, I saw this philosophy in action. One memorable case involved a young child with PANS, a complex neurological and immune condition. After a single adjustment, the child’s occupational therapist and pediatrician noticed a remarkable change: calmer demeanor, improved function, and a sense of balance. Experiences like this—and many more with patients dealing with digestive issues, vertigo, fatigue, and chronic pain—reinforced that chiropractic care can create profound improvements beyond what most expect. I assess the spine as a whole, identifying patterns and connections rather than focusing only on the site of pain.
My Philosophy of Care
I believe most health challenges don’t appear overnight—they develop gradually. Small imbalances, poor posture, stress, and lifestyle factors quietly accumulate until one final stressor triggers pain or dysfunction. My approach focuses on uncovering the root causes—the multiple contributing factors that together create imbalance—while supporting the body as a whole.
Key principles guiding my care:
- Address the root causes, not just the symptoms – Pain is often the last signal of deeper imbalance. True healing comes from identifying and addressing the various factors that contribute to the problem, rather than searching for a single “one-size-fits-all” cause.
- View the body as an interconnected system – The spine and nervous system influence overall health, so I assess how different systems interact and affect one another.
- Support overall function and wellbeing – Care is about more than relieving pain; it’s about improving energy, mobility, and resilience in everyday life.
This philosophy isn’t theoretical—it’s practical. Patients often experience relief, improved function, and a stronger sense of balance and vitality as they address the multiple layers that influence their health.
Integrating Faith and Health
Faith has played an important role in my life, shaping my values and perspective. Over time, I’ve found that principles like discipline, stewardship, patience, rest, and perseverance closely align with what research and experience show about health and wellness.
I strive to live these principles daily—through self-care, disciplined routines, intentional habits, and thoughtful rest. Life is never perfect, and I fail often. But learning from failure, getting back on track, and striving to improve are part of both personal growth and patient care.
